We have been enjoying sharing with you some of the inspirational products that Creative Cafe offers.  We also have some good news.

All of the products we have shown you during our Blog Party through today are shipping NOW!  Yes, that is correct.  So let your favorite store know if there’s something you must have.  You don’t have to wait to get these great new products.   We were so excited about that fact and we know that it’s incredibly hard to fall in love with something and then have to wait months.  There are many more  new Creative Cafe items as well yet to come in our BLOG PARTY….so stay tuned.

Today I’m sharing one of the fresh new products releasing for Creative Cafe at the industry trade show next week in California at the Hampton Art booth #1535.

For me,  while I enjoy designing product, I most often like to create things that I’m dying to use myself.  Tonight’s product showcase is THE most anticipated product for me of the entire Creative Cafe release (and there is a lot to choose from.)   I already have BIG plans for it, not for just one project, but for SEVERAL.   With the 2008 calendar year wrapping up, I have been browsing  my photos from 2008 (over 20,000 of them) for a project I complete each January and it’s more than obvious to me I have so many photos that I am dying to use.   This new Creative Cafe 3-Ring Journal is going to become home to many of them.

Perfectly suited for a wide variety of projects, this journal is extremely versatile and priced so affordably at $19.95 retail.  Great for stamping with any of the  popular Creative Cafe stamps (including several NEW ones, which we’ll be sharing tomorrow.)

3-Ring Journal includes:

  • 8 1/2 x 10 1/4  Ring Binder
  • 72 printed journal pages
  • 2 sticker sheets
  • 12 photo insert pages
  • 4 rounded envelopes
  • 4 library pockets
  • 4 notched envelopes

If you think, you ALSO might enjoy filling this new 3-Ring Journal with photos and memories of your own, we will send one lucky winner the first journal to reach our hands, upon shipping to stores.  So be one of the first to own this journal and comment here with a link to your favorite Creative Cafe stamp and tell us why you love it.  Don’t own a favorite yet, then link to one you would like to own.  We’ll draw a winner one week from today.

regards,

Danelle

is our family photo journal.   I’ve shared this project at several events and in many stores and still to this day, it’s one of my favorite projects.   I am so happy that I have found a way to scrapbook our everyday life.

When someone in my family wonders where we spent Thanksgiving or what we did for the 4th of July, I remember the answer and I have a visual of where we went and exactly what we did.  It’s not because I have a great memory, but it’s because I am scrapboooking life as it happens.  Furthermore, the little everyday things that I know I will forget over time, often find a way in to the journal as well, things that will likely mean more to me than what happened on a specific holiday.    Because of this journal, not all of my  photos are buried in digital files in the computer, but the most important ones have made it in to my journal, along with my thoughts of the month before it’s forgotten.

I have talked a lot about this on my blog and the issues I have had in the past for finding a process that works for me.  This is one piece in the process and I continually love it more and more.

Am I always caught up, no, but I am way closer than I have ever been before.  I actually don’t believe it’s possible to be caught up, far too many photos and great life moments.  I have learned that it’s more about being routine and regular and simplistic for me.

Last year I worked a little each month on my journal, but this year I thought it would be fun to take this concept further and have some of my friends join me.  So in August, we started a Mom’s group with some of the Mom’s in my area.  It’s been a great idea to  have them join me on creating a family journal of their own.   We meet once a month at one Mom’s house to scrapbook the following month.  It’s a great evening of conversation and companionship, but even better a chance to motivate each other to make monthly progress recording family memories.  Each person started with the same journal kit and we’re half through the year.  We each have only six, 5×7 pages to do each month.  We only need to print and bring photos from the prior month.

Here’s a peak at months November and December from last year’s journal.  I’ll be working on December for this year here in a couple of weeks, which means I have a lot of photos to PRINT soon.

I have a little baggy that is 5×7 of my favorite Creative Cafe goodies that I use in my journal.  Some pages I use more and some months less.  My favorite item to include would be the Swatchbook Impress Ons.

We have LOTS of NEW products to share this week and next in our BLOG PARTY, but more than anything we really wanted to share with you a process that allows you to document your life as it happens.   The Creative Cafe products just make it simple and fun.

We want to hear from you.  Comments to this thread will have a chance to win a journal just like the one used in this project and we promise there is MUCH MORE TO COME!

Wow, can you believe that?  We all know how time flies, so now would be a good time to get busy on those handmade gifts.  This little round Chipboard album made with an Accucut circle die and lots of Creative Cafe cardstock stickers, buttons, and chipboard shapes would be a perfect gift for a loved one who would enjoy a yearly review of photos.  The circle shape is a fun way to create and you can easily follow the edges to add your own handwriting for that extra personal touch.

Best wishes for a productive fall season!

I have been wanting to create an over-the-top Creative Cafe decadent type layout.  While even the smallest amount of these products make any layout or card look fantastic, this layout here is more of a passion piece.  Not only is this my favorite picture of my little girl and I, but I’ve featured it with lots of sweet chipboard pieces, gemstones, velvet ribbed ribbon, felt words, butterflies, frames, die cut tags, flowers, tickets, polka dot felt and stickers.

Hope this layout inspires you to indulge and use lots of your favorite Creative Cafe products today - the results are sure to be fantastic!

Have a great day!!

with Creative Cafe transparencies.

Have you tried the new transparencies yet?  They are just so much fun to work with and can be used on all types of projects.  Here, I used the Spirit Lime Floral Transparency for a background on one card and as the card base for the other.  I hope you get a chance to play with this fun product.  If you do, why don’t you link it up here so I can see the fun ways you used it.  :)

Have a great weekend!  ~Roree

Hi!  Just a little card for Christmas.  I know that is only July, but it is hot and humid here and this reminder of cooler days seemed like a great idea.

I made the base with the new Polka Dot Acrylic sheet and an Accucut die for Creative Cafe.  The paper is new Lucky Florals.  The “Holly” leaves were made by cutting pieces of the Green Scallop Velvet Ribbon then I added some of the Creative Cafe glitter for the veining.  I also glittered up the diecut Flourish with the Clear Glitter Glue color. Then it wouldn’t have been complete without the Dark Red Gems and Bulk Buttons for the berries!  So sparkly and pretty for a holiday card.

Thanks for stopping by — now don’t you feel just a little cooler after thinking Christmas? :-)

Hi !  Well, I have to be honest and admit that I have never made a layout on a circular background before.  I know that round diecut papers have been around for a little while, but I didn’t really know where to start.  Until I received this new diecut paper from Danelle.

Wow!  It was so fun.  I didn’t realize how creative you could be on a circular surface and I can’t wait to use it more.

The layout also includes one of the new Tags, the Floral papers, a Jar Label sticker (oh, my gosh.. is that the cutest thing ever or what?!!), and new Round Cardstock punchouts.  Then I used some of my favorite Creative Cafe staples– the rub ons from the Spirit Swatchbooks, the Chipboard Shapes and of course, those glittery Lime Brads.

Have a great weekend of scrapping!

Quick and Easy is what I needed… I have no time, and cannot live with myself if I don’t chronicle some of my new daughter’s memories. Thanks to Kristi Sakora-Blankenship and Danelle I have started to scrapbook again, with the Creative Cafe journals! This little journal has been so easy to keep up with, and I love that I can work on it for about twenty minutes every night. It’s a fast and easy way to make sure I don’t forget all those little things Zoe does every day.
