I scrapbook because….I want to remember the moment
I scrapbook because….this will never come again
I scrapbook because….I don’t want to ever forget
I scrapbook…..so they will know.
When I scrapbook….I appreciate the little things
And the big things
When I scrapbook…..I love my life
When I scrapbook….. I am a better mommy and wife and person.
When I scrapbook, THEY know, the stories I want them to know and the stories they need to know.
When I scrapbook, my family knows how I feel and they know that it matters.
When I scrapbook, I celebrate our LIFE.
More than ever this year, I wanted to reflect on what scrapbooking means to me, why it’s important and where I am in the BIG PICTURE of what I feel is important to scrapbook. I have been really working hard to make sure that my scrapbook time accomplishes what I want to have recorded tomorrow, in a year and in 10 years. I have made some HUGE progress, but I have more changes to make. However, the road is as much as the reward as the finished piece.
If you haven’t taken the time lately to think about what it is you want from your scrapbooking, we encourage you to do that this week as we celebrate this process that brings us all together.
Comment to this post, with your thoughts on this topic for a chance to win a journal from Creative Cafe (like the one below), perfect for recording your moments past, present and future. Winner will be drawn Friday, May 8th.

It’s not too late to CHAT with us tonight. Just click here and enter the chat room at the lower left corner and use your name as your USER NAME. Super easy.

Materials: red dot paper, pink dot paper, pink notebook paper, chipboard, heart die, bird die, love die
We really enjoyed reading your plans for Valentines Day yesterday in the comments. Thank you for sharing a little more about your world. We love to read every comment and we appreciate you taking the time to share.
Here’s a little garland idea using some of our popular Creative Cafe papers and dies. While this garland works great for Valentine’s Day, it would also work for a wedding, shower or birthday party by changing up the colors and elements. This is the same die used in the Valentine favors shown yesterday. Love the possibilities you can achieve with the same die and products in a different way.
If you don’t have a local Creative Cafe store near you (click here to find one,) there are stores willing to let you shop and they will cut and ship to you. How nice is that?
Scraplovers is usually stocked with the full line of Creative Cafe and is willing to ship to you. Just give them a call and let them know what you need.

The girls each made their choices for Valentines for their classmates and enjoyed making them this weekend. They will be on their way to school this week. This is our second year running for Fun Dip which is headed off to Kindergarten, but our first year for these gatorade treats which are a much “cooler” option for 4th grade.

The die cut heart valentines were made from Creative Cafe glitter papers in pink and red, cut with the new AccuCut ribbon heart die. Glue on your favorite candy treat and thread with a pencil. For a class of 20, it was only $12.00

My fourth grader was somewhat on the fence about taking valentines this year, kind of made me sad to see that. Apparently it’s optional in their class. So as I sensed her hesitancy, I offered some creative yet affordable options and she LOVED the idea of decorated gatorade bottles. We found this 24 pack at Wal-mart for $10. After adding some pink and red polka dot Creative Cafe papers and Creative Cafe tags tied with felt ric rack, the final cost only $13.50 for a class of 20. Someone is now excited about taking her Valentine favors to school.
Now I have a few days to plan Valentines for my little ones at home. We (my husband and I) have made a pact to forego the commercial options this year and so we are creatively planning personal surprises for the girls that are virtually free. With Valentines day being Saturday, it allows for some fun options. I’d love to hear from you and what your plans are for this upcoming holiday or what traditions have you put in to place with your family….

and can you say T.I.R.E.D? Hoping to snap back to normal energy level soon.
We missed you all and brought home some goodies just for you that we’ll be giving away here on the blog. So stay tuned for more on that. Thanks for keeping the fun going while we were away.
I will post a full update of the show on my blog soon including my unexpected run in with Paris Hilton.
I wanted to leave you with an image of one of our new Creative Cafe items from CI. So many possibilities with this designer journaling book. There are 24 pages in each one, which is a great deal at just over $8 retail. I can not WAIT to get one because I already have a bunch of things I want to use this for.

and another smaller size under $5. Can you imagine the possibilities of adding these to mini books and layouts? I can’t wait to use my bind-it-all and add these in between the pages of some of my favorite journals.

Since it’s almost FRIDAY, how about having your name entered in a drawing for another Creative Cafe T-shirt? Just comment here with your thoughts on our new tablets shown above. If you like them, be sure to tell your favorite Creative Cafe retailer you are looking forward to getting them. They will want to hear from you.

to say that we are working on some nice upgrades to the blog and so if things change a little, excuse us while we make a few improvements around here. Sometimes not an easy thing to do on the road, but we’re working on it. Let’s hope we don’t crash this thing huh?
We are getting some VERY NICE TRAFFIC, thanks to you all. Let’s make this party a little BIGGER, should we?
Also, we do have new Creative Cafe products never before seen, showing tonight at the Creative Imaginations party. We are hoping to do a video post of the party. The key word there is ‘hoping.” (grin)

See if you can pick out the new AccuCut dies in these fun projects. This is a pretty big hint (I think.)
There are at least 2 new dies in here (but come in different sizes) and almost everything you see in these projects was cut with our Creative Cafe AccuCut dies. If you want to have fun with these dies and more, like the projects you see here, tell your local scrapbook store to RUN, don’t walk to the AccuCut booth at the CHA Winter Show this week in California or to give Accucut a call.

For a chance to win a prize over worth over $150 including this project, read here.
Happy Saturday everyone!

I hope you are enjoying our BLOG PARTY! Today, since it’s Friday, we are going to have something BIG for you. So stay tuned below for a chance to win.
One of our favorite components of Creative Cafe is the AccuCut machine and dies. If you see a Creative Cafe project in our Happy Hour projects, in a class or on our blog, chances are it has elements cut with the help of the AccuCut dies and machine. If you are not familiar with AccuCut, then keep reading.
If you have been a fan of Creative Cafe for a while, then you know how much we love to make projects from with our die cuts. Not only can you make projects that are amazing, but you can do so for an incredibly affordable price. Creating projects in bulk, such as for classes and groups is even more perfect because you can replicate items again and again, so easily. If I’m teaching a class, it’s going to be filled with items I have cut with my AccuCut dies.
In Creative Cafe, we believe in producing great materials, such as our felt, chipboard, acetate, transparencies, double sided paper, flocked paper and our new glitter paper in 12×12 sheets. We then use these items along with the AccuCut machine and dies to create inspiring and unique projects at a great price.
With such interesting materials, you can create a wide range of of projects from mini books, to layouts, home decor items, gifts, party goods and embellishments. All you need is the material and the rest you can construct quite easily with the help of the dies and an AccuCut machine.
Today I want to share with you our new Creative Cafe dies being released this next week at the CHA Winter Show in California. You can find all the projects and more information about these new products at the AccuCut booth if you are going to the show. If not, you can request a catalog and sign up for the AccuCut newsletter here.
Here are just a few of our new dies, more tomorrow.
New Album-Mix and Match #2:
This die has a wide range of possibilities. Use only 1 of 4 different page shapes or mix and match 2 or more. Even combine them all for an eclectic book. We’ve experimented with a wide range of combinations and keep finding new favorites. It’s a MUST HAVE die! It comes with or without holes.

This Mother’s Love project utilized a single repeated page and each page was trimmed 1/4 of inch from the width of the following page. Bound with the bind-it-all and you have a really great book made from 4 sheets of chipboard and 4 papers at a great price $$.

You can see in this project, a wide variety of matching elements all cut from the leftover paper scraps. These shapes have become some of our favorite little embellishments to add to a project. Easy AND affordable, yet COOL!
This is our second die in our Album-Mix and Match Series, see an example for our original Album-Mix and Match 1.

Here’s another project variation in which a felt and chipboard book was made.

You can see several of our favorite dies as well used in this project, such as the best selling butterflies, here and here. They are great for spring.

The Creative Cafe colored binder rings work great when making books such as the ones above. There are over 10 different colors and each in 2 different sizes. As for them at your local Creative Cafe store, along with the AccuCut dies.
Today’s big prize is for $150 worth of Creative Cafe products, and includes the kit (cut with these dies) for this BEAUTIFUL Mother’s Love project. Here’s how to be enterered.
Tell your friends on the web about our Blog Party and our blog. Comment below and include a link to each time you spread news of our blog party. For each link you share on the web and copy in your comment here, your name will be entered AGAIN in the drawing. (For those who have mentioned not knowing how to link, just copy and paste in the body of your comment.)
The winner will be drawn one week from today.
(and we’re not done yet, much more to come)

If you know Creative Cafe, then you know we LOVE stamps! Stamps are such an affordable way to customize any project you are working on and we are really looking forward to the projects we have planned for these new stamps available from Hampton Art.

We love to include sets that are interactive and when combined, create numerous unique designs, as in these new 5×5 sets.

We’ve added in a few background stamps and new word sets. So many ways to use these.

Something new to our stamp line up: 8×8 stamp sets (for when you just need a little more at yet an incredible price.)
- A dynamite numbers set to mix and match for every number stamping need you might have
- A graffiti word set that gives you the option to leave stamps in strips or customize by cutting apart.

For all GLITTER LOVERS:
We have good news for you. New Creative Cafe glitter glue is just $1. Every Creative Cafe color you love. I like to call it BLING IN a BOTTLE. For all 10 colors that’s only $10.
(My 9 year old daughter decided to use mine to create a Braille oversized letter chart to take to school this week. Even she will come up with anything to play with the glitter)

If you are heading to the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) Show this next week in California, be sure to come by the Hampton Art booth to play with these new products. We’ll have a different make/take each day and maybe for those who aren’t going to be able to join us, I might see what I can do to give a couple of the projects away here on the blog. I will be back with that info, so keep watching.
While I don’t have projects to give away today, I do have some stamps. Anyone want to win some stamps?
If so comment to this thread for a chance to win some Creative Cafe stamps by telling us the name of your local scrapbook store and the STATE and if you have ever been to a store with Creative Cafe. We want to hear from you.

We have been enjoying sharing with you some of the inspirational products that Creative Cafe offers. We also have some good news.
All of the products we have shown you during our Blog Party through today are shipping NOW! Yes, that is correct. So let your favorite store know if there’s something you must have. You don’t have to wait to get these great new products. We were so excited about that fact and we know that it’s incredibly hard to fall in love with something and then have to wait months. There are many more new Creative Cafe items as well yet to come in our BLOG PARTY….so stay tuned.
Today I’m sharing one of the fresh new products releasing for Creative Cafe at the industry trade show next week in California at the Hampton Art booth #1535.
For me, while I enjoy designing product, I most often like to create things that I’m dying to use myself. Tonight’s product showcase is THE most anticipated product for me of the entire Creative Cafe release (and there is a lot to choose from.) I already have BIG plans for it, not for just one project, but for SEVERAL. With the 2008 calendar year wrapping up, I have been browsing my photos from 2008 (over 20,000 of them) for a project I complete each January and it’s more than obvious to me I have so many photos that I am dying to use. This new Creative Cafe 3-Ring Journal is going to become home to many of them.

Perfectly suited for a wide variety of projects, this journal is extremely versatile and priced so affordably at $19.95 retail. Great for stamping with any of the popular Creative Cafe stamps (including several NEW ones, which we’ll be sharing tomorrow.)
3-Ring Journal includes:
- 8 1/2 x 10 1/4 Ring Binder
- 72 printed journal pages
- 2 sticker sheets
- 12 photo insert pages
- 4 rounded envelopes
- 4 library pockets
- 4 notched envelopes
If you think, you ALSO might enjoy filling this new 3-Ring Journal with photos and memories of your own, we will send one lucky winner the first journal to reach our hands, upon shipping to stores. So be one of the first to own this journal and comment here with a link to your favorite Creative Cafe stamp and tell us why you love it. Don’t own a favorite yet, then link to one you would like to own. We’ll draw a winner one week from today.
regards,
Danelle
